As you can imagine, “The Shire” is so much more magical in the springtime! Even the Hydrangea are blooming already! Well, actually, truth be told (and a little tip given), those are fake Hydrangea my landlord uses until the real deal arrives–pretty good, right? I will say, and understandably so, I was a little disappointed (you could say a bit thrown off) the first time I went to gather a bouquet for Studio K…
Note: The photo with all the blue sky includes blossoms from the neighbor’s peach tree. HOME: studio living post “#19–A breach of the best kind” addresses these little flowers of promise.
“You are worthy, O Lord,
To receive glory and honor and power;
For you created all things,
And by Your will they exist and were created.”
To think this same holy God desires to be in a close relationship with His Creation as a Father and a Friend. My heart is best expressed with what King David says in Psalm 139:6, “Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand!”
Truth be told so I stay on Santa’s “Nice List” (pretty sure I’m there?), these photos were of last year’s Christmas decor. Everything will look the same this season. So not counting the festive vibe on my porch, The Shire is pretty much good to go for December 2013.
All sorts of things bloom in The Shire. Each centerpiece represents a baby dedicated
at church today and celebrated at the NCL Church Family in the Park event.
“Nurturing Christian Life…” I love to watch things grow.

Talk about needing an opening and a closing ceremony! Spring has officially sprung here in The Shire which means this bad boy is getting bagged up and bounced out to the shed until the bitterness of winter settles in at year end. Bonus– gained some square footage.

I just put my workout clothes in the dryer to warm them up before I put them on. The cold just seeps into every square inch of this room. The drawers and closets included!
