As I mentioned in “And then there was a second post…” (HOME: studio living, post #2), I’m limited in the ways I can move furniture around to change things up, so this time I looked up and to home accessories to keep things fresh. These lanterns, which I bought for outdoor breakfast/dinner parties (not too late to get on guest list), will probably be staying indoors for the duration of the summer (loving them!) and I will be needing to purchase duplicate ambiance for my festive gatherings on the grassy knolls of “The Shire.”
Apparently, someone at STUDIO K turned 40 today.
Since the launch of Bird’s Eye View by Karin (July 31, 2013), the graphic for the blog has undergone seasonal changes and found its background in photos taken of a wall painted sunshine yellow and another one painted in shades of blue, a rusted tin roof, and a grey mantel shelf adorned with votive candle holders.
I don’t know about you, but over the years, wherever I have lived, there comes a time where I need to change up the place to keep it fresh. Well, now is the time. And since I live in a studio, the only thing I could really do with the furniture is turn my over-sized chair in the other direction. Believe it or not, there was a slight impact on the feel of the place. I’m pleased with the results.
